Is it illegal to copy a CD to a computer? |
I borrowed a test program CD from library I do it for a personal use only. It's illegal -- period. End of story. No gray area here. It's stealing. If you don't plan on buying a copy of it, and you plan on keeping it even if it's just for your own use, it's stealing. Period. yes it is illigal, because you are making a copy of that program. Well ... it's technically illegal, but pretty difficult to prove and won't be tracked by the authorities. Whether its legal or not, they wont care until you actually try and distribute the cd. Then you will be playing with fire. Wow.... you gotta love the ethics of the people on this site. Yes, it is illegal. DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!! yes I am screaming at you I do not want u to get in trouble. It is illegal...but you're a small fish in the ocean... Technically...yes. But the government will never know if you don't tell them. |
