How can I get a free full background check on each of my parents????

I swear to god I'm so fuckin pissed off at my mom! She's lied to me my whole life basically! It could be worse, but still. I've been at my nanny's house with my grandparents and cousin who's 10 yrs old. She and I were looking at pics on the family room wall and she said "I like that dress on nanny when she was at your mom's first wedding"

I'm 14 and my mom has told me my whole life that she's only been married once "to your daddy" BULL ****!!!! I found out she's had a husband named Bill and one named Matthew! AND SHE'S NEVER EVER told me ONCE about how many yrs they've been married (my mom and dad). So god knows!

OOOOH! I can't sleep, I can't eat, I can hardly get on my computer. My cousin kept trying to cheer me up, but her mom's been married 3 times, and had a kid with each husband, lives with 9 cats and 7 dogs, and my mom always complains how SHE can't keep a husband! GOD! I already hated her guts as it was! Plus, I'm the THE anti-prep, and I found out from my grandparents, and her brother and sister, that she was one of those preppy little bitchy teacher's pets, after all these yrs she's told me she was a tomboy and always got dirty and everything. Then she would go on talking about how much she had to clean the house cuz no one else would. That's also bull ****!!!!

sigh. It's bad enough she had a temper and would beat me if I did anything wrong. I swear. I already hated her so much that (I hate myself for saying this) if she died, I wouldn't even give a bull fuckin ****! BUT NOW THIS!

another thing, trying to think possitive...I keep saying "it could be worse" but I'm still trying to imagine! I haven't slept the WHOLE time I've been at my nanny's (over a week!) I'm grouchy, bitchy, and mad! PLUS! I'm starting my period next week probably!

AND ON TOP OF THIS! My mom teaches at the high school I'm going into next week as a FRESHMAN!!! I'm so worried about the work! Not the social crap, but the school work. My mom has four kids (hopefully with the same husband my dad) so she can't afford for me to go to college anyway. So I have to save up now.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! I need background checks for free and in secret, PLUS something to cheer me up!

I belong to Netdetective.com, and reversephonedetective.com. They are both pretty decent sites, but I believe there is a small fee for background check reports.

You could try googling their name with the state you live in for starters.

You are angry, for sure. And perhaps disappointed that your grandmother spilled your mom's secret before you had a chance to hear it directly from your mom.

Perhaps your mother was waiting for you to be more mature. Clearly, you are still way to young to handle the information. Look at how you responded: You called your mom names, said you wouldn't care if she died, and a few other terrible things...

You should be ashamed of yourself. Your mother carried you for nine months, gave you life, raised you and you are trashing her...you are supposed to respect your parents.

I can guarantee with your bad attitude, your mom isn't looking forward to being at the same school any more than you are...

Now, why don't you chill out, get over your temper tantrum, and talk to your mom? Ask her why she didn't tell you, and listen--REALLY LISTEN to what she says.

Put yourself in her shoes--I'm sure she has reasons for not telling you.

I don't know of any free background check services. Most online services appear to be free at first, but if you want the information they find, you have to pay.

I found out that my dad had another wife a couple days after he died. Someone at the funeral asked me if his first wife was coming....talk about a shocker. But after thinking about it for a minute, I can see why you don't tell your kids these things. I am now a father myself, and although I have only been married once. There are plenty of other things that I have done in my life that I will not be telling my son about.

I can't pretend to know your situation, but your mom may just want to present herself as a good example to you. Parents aren't always proud of the things they did growing up.

High school isn't really any harder than middle school. It is just different. Your writing is very good at least, so many times I can't even read a lot of what these kids are saying with the slang and the typing as if they are texting. You will do fine.

It sounds as if you are on better terms with your father. Talk to him about this.

Background checks aren't cheap and normally, you need a legit reason to get them. I'd start asking around inside of your family, they probably know her best and can tell you things even a background check can't. If you've already found out this much from other people in your family, I'd keep digging.

And it could definitely be worse. At least you're living with people other than your mother. And I think a lot of your anger is stemming from PMS, considering you said you'll probably start your period next week.

I think you should take a deep breath, listen to some loud music, find good things to focus on rather than the bad, and if you're worried about her being your teacher at your school, talk to your school about it and they won't put you in her class. It would be a "conflict of interest".

First off, CALM DOWN! Yelling and sreaming isn't going to help. NOW! Do you have any time at home alone?? Yes? Good! So this is what you do. If you know where your mom and "dad" keep records, such income tax returns etc, you may find something about your parents backgrounds. BUT! Remember, to put everything back the way you found it!! Second, check out all the family albums Who looks like who etc. Note the dates if any! What was moher's maiden name? Marriage certificates and Birth certificates, Social Security Numbers, yours, your siblings, mom, Dad, and your grandparents! Make a note of all the different names! NOW! that done, and this next step is going to have some patience so don't give up on it! Go into Family search and check out all the last names. Your grandparents would be a good place to start. Put their last name in, and see what your come up with as far as ancestors go! You can also go into People search, and I think you can put the last names in and if you have the Social Security numbers, you might find some information there. BUT PLEASE BE PATIENT!! I tracked some of my relatives, but it took a long time. In the meantime, ask questions to your grandparents! Who were THEIR parents and so on. I think it would be better for you to concentrate on this instead of being angry with your parents. I had the same situation with my family, and it was like "What do you want to know for"? "They are all dead"!! I don't know what religion you are, but you could find out where you were christened, and at which church! There's lots of other places you can check too. Going off the deep end, si only going to muddy things up for you! Take one step at a time, and you will find you get more information from people around you with "honey" than with you throwing tantrums! You say with all the other kids in the family, there will be no money for you to go to college! Rubbish! If you work hard, you could get a Grant, and when you are a few years older, you can get a part-time job to help in the financing! You have three years ahead of you to decide what you want to be for the rest of your life. You will probably change your mind several times, so do the best you can at school. What ever you find out about your family background, keep a log on everything. Like a secret diary! Listen what the adults talk about when they think you are not listening. OK, I don't know where you are from, so part of the problem will be knowing where to start.

If you want a fast (aka instant) background check you will need a service like net detective. However, there are things you can check. Marriage license are public records, so are property records - which also show spouses. Check with your local county clerk's office - some of these are available online. Some you will have to walk in to. That should get you marriage and such (you have to know where they were married for marriage license)

I know this may not help a lot - I do have a list of many free public records links listed in my sources.

Your mom seems like a lame woman....I second Ruth's advice. However, if you have access to a credit card or something you can do a background check on your parents for about 30-50 bucks total. But since you're only 14 you probably don't have a card or paypal?
