This is about computers and copyright laws |
Beleive it or not most of the songs on the radio do not belong to the artist who sing them. I have personally had my lyrics stolen from me on the sony and columbia message board, but was unaware it was happening because I would get banned from the site so they could cover up what they were doing. Most recently this situation got serious because they became so desperate for lyrics they would hack my personal computers and take the files of lyrics I wrote and send the computer a virus that would wipe everything out. These people are nut cases no matter how rich and famous they are. What happened to me over the past 5-6 years is the equivelent of stalking and harasment because I had to basically listen to people stealing from me, and realized sometimes that what they stole they actually had to break into my house and go through trash to get. Most recently they did it on my mom's computer and before my trip over seas I wrote 4 songs on her computer to go to the middle east and find music videos done on them. I also think it is psychologically damaging to listen to your own problems and venting repeatedly knowing that you are being followed for the songs and harassed. I need a computer nerd to tell me what I can and cannot do, preffereably one who has a degree in law because I realized that rights over what was published actually belongs to me once I can prove personal connection to the file such as email or IP address. Well I don't have a degree but I am a nerd. It sounds like you need a lawyer who knows a really really good Private Investigator who specializes in Computers (Truth is the good ones are just hackers who went legit.) I don't know if the cops can do anything without proof and it sounds like they're doing a descent job of covering their tracks but a good PI may be able to uncover some of the message board information that was lost depending on how much they knew about covering it up. As for your PC defragmenting can make it unrecoverable but there is a chance the data on the computer was not lost as long as it was not overwritten and it could be recovered but it's a roll of the dice and there are variables. |
