Sex abuse to a minor?

i know someone that was in jail for 2+ years for having sex with a minor. he has 10 counts of SAM & 3 counts of unlawful contact.

i have some suspicions of somethings, & was wondering what he can/can't do.
he's on probation for 10 years.

can he still talk to minors?
over the phone?
in person?
over the computer?

if he violates these conditions, how long would he go to jail for considering he's been there before for the same thing.

If he's on probation for THAT, they'll usually make boundaries like 100 yards from any high school and lower, so-and-so yards away from public parks, so-and-so yard away from yadda yadda yadda, whatever the judge decides. He'll of course be registered as a sex offender and the neighbors will know of his address where he'll be staying. I don't really know those kinds of conditions; it's whatever the judge decides what he can and cannot do to anyone, especially to minors. It may be restricted, it may not be. You never know what to expect sometimes.

A probation officer may at his discretion issue a probationer a warning, or order him to appear before a court for a probation violation hearing. At the hearing, the probation officer will typically request additional punishment, usually involving incarceration. There is no "hard and fast" rule for what type of violation will result in a hearing. One violation that is almost always considered serious is failure to appear for scheduled meetings with the probation officer. Being found in possession of illegal drugs, or being arrested for another crime, will likely result in a hearing. How seriously the violation is regarded may depend upon the facts of the original offense 鈥?for example, if a person has been convicted of a gang-related offense, "association with known criminals" may be viewed as a more serious violation than if the person were on probation for driving a car with a suspended license.

if he is a registred sex offender than he is very limited to what he can and cannot do. You may want to check him out on the state's sex offenders web site
