Shed occupancy CA code enforcement |
I got a letter recently telling me I am in violation of code enforcement (In Lake county CA) by allowing occupancy of my shed. This shed we build is so nice, it's practically just a detached bedroom that has my bed in it, my desk/computer and some general storage items. If you sleep there, that's occupancy. If you got your permits so you can run power, then move the bed out and tell them it is no longed lived in. They have no right to tell you what to do there the rest of the time. Wait, are you renting the shed out to someone else? Also, if you have questions the smart thing to do would be to contact the county office and ask exactly why you are in violation. im not sure, but i agree with u |
