Knife crime do you think computer games with knifes play a big part in the rise in stabbings?

Knife crime do you think computer games with knifes play a big part in the rise in stabbings?

It has to be more than that. There's a big difference between these games and the real thing. They might contribute to a culture of violence but they're also a harmless alternative.

I play these "violent games" all the time. I do not recall ever shooting someone with a PSG1, an AK or running around with a knife stabbing people. WHen someone does that, they only blame the games because they don't have the guts to take the responsibility for their actions.

No. I play violent computer games and would never dream of stabbing people. These people who commit knife crimes would have done it whether or not they played a violent game. The problem is with our society not what games we play.

"Rise in stabbings" How big a rise are you claiming, because the UK figures show a decrease over the last 15 years.

I don't think computer games have any influence.

I can't find it now, but I read an article that showed violence had actually no change at all since before the rise of violent video games.

No. If someone is so deranged as to think "Oh wow that was great fun now I'll go do it in real life" then I think they would probably do it anyway.

no. Period.

probably yes considering the people who play these games

Not really.

I think that they have nothing to do with it...it starts on the street, not in a game

lol thats a big fat no!
