Are you allowed to have a computer in prison?

I may be going to prison for a long time and I was just wondering if I am able to have a computer at anyone of them (preferably in my cell with broadband access at least). It's a fed charge so my attorney can probably get me sent to a few different ones (well ones with some members of my organization at least), so if anyone knows of any prisons which allow this either as a rule or even as a bribe (lord knows you can buy ANYTHING when inside) I would appreciate if you shared. I would hate to give up on Yahoo! Answers and the other benefits of the internet.

PS I am going to prison for a victimless crime. People ask to buy the stuff, the time with the girls, or the enjoyment that comes with gambling. So I really don't deserve to be deprived of the best that money can buy let alone my freedom.

To pghpatt: Although I will be getting more butter than most in prison, guys like me give orders to guys like Bubba. So I won't have to worry about that.

Basically you can use the internet in prison as long as you don't try to contact kids, etc. Not that they check.

You definately do not get internet time in prison, much less your cell. The internet is not a right by any means, and if anything they may allow a few minutes a week or something like they do with television. Victimless crime? Please...

Nope. You MAY be granted time on a computer but it will not include sites like YA. Being federal charges means you have no chance of early release either. Must have been "some kinda" business.

Are you serious? You don't sound upset at the thought of having your freedom taken away. Wouldn't it suck to go to prison?

I hope not. Oh, save your butter pats--you'll need them for Bubba. You're going to jail, not Club Med--idiot.

Nope.

And there is no such thing as a victimless crime.

I doubt it. Nor, room with a view. Writing tablets and probably pencils.
