What do you do, when your at work and your boss is always spying on your computer from another computer.? |
What can you do to stop your boss from harrashing you? I am a female 21 years of age and my boss is always spying on me from another computer. He is watching everything i do? I dont like it at all but need my job. Its not just that he has told me that he missed me after his vacation recently and I dont like him and never made an advance at him. When I thought It wold be over becasue he had been relocated to another location near by. Not too long after they need a postion filled and he I know made a reference that i would be good for the job. Now i had to relocate to the same near by location where he was located. And till this day he still spying on my computer. Dont know what to say or do. Chill out. Nothing you say here shows that he is "harassing" you. Saying that he missed you is not "harassing" you. Well for starters the boss has every right to monitor your computer use. What you do on company time is company business. You are always free to negotiate conditions of employment. Make an offer along the lines of you will be free to use the company computer, on company time, to do whatever you want without any interference from the boss. Maybe someone will agree to that offer. if he is sexual harrassing you then that is another story but if he is watching what you are doing on the computer it is justifiable because he is allowed to do that and work computers are not for personal use But your avatar is that of a dude... Go to work as a carpenter and no computer I am the boss, I'm at work now doing this in my spare time and during lunch brakes tell him to get ova it If you work for a big company (e.g. HP, IBM or some specialized business), your moves are quite limited because they use a server in order to tell your computer what you can and what you can't do, then you're pretty much screwed up. If you're in a smaller business, you can try to set your firewall to "Activated (no exceptions)", this will block all the communication between the outside world and your computer. You can do this by going to the Control panel > Windows Firewall, then set the option that says "No exceptions". Legally your boss can monitor your activities on a computer to see if you are using it for personal reasons for one! But, this guy is actually storking you by means of his computer!! He's got you hook line and sinker! If you REALLY don't like him, no matter HOW much you like or need the job - QUIT as soon as you can find a job, and NOT with the same company! Don't say a word to anyone until you have secured another position! And, just in case this jackass finds out where you are working, tell your new supervisor how this man made you feel uncomfortable, and did not appreciate his attention which you felt was unprofessional! By the way, is he married!? AND a lot older? Whatever you do, don't conduct ANY personal business on your computer, cos he CAN make copies of it! Stay clean, and avoid him as much as you can on your breaks. If you have a computer at home, I hope he hasn't found out your e-mail address or password! If you are not sure, change it and tell noone! This guy has computer knowledge, and could be monitoring you there too! Employers have the right to monitor what employees do on their computers while at work. However, if you're certain he is doing this on his own, without the company's authorization, report it to your human resources department. |
