Can you please tell me that when a question is asked and the spelling?

is wrong. and make a remark about it, such as lee peter it is always the computer as made the mistake, I think it is they left school too early, and also a bad workman always blames his tools

Edit: Louise big smell, You sound just like a young bored mother, single of course, Take up knitting Dear.

Sir, I agree with your sentiments. I feel that it is matter of respect (Or should that be respec'?) to the questioner, as well as self-pride, to try to make contributions as clear and as honest as possible. That is what language is all about - communication, except for 'Bush-speak', of course and which would be so much fun if it were not so tragic.

Other contributors point out your own errors of punctuation. Then there is the matter of the grammar ... (Sorry!) and use of clich茅. (Sorry!) Then there are people who use exclamation marks and the word 'then' too often. (Sorry!) When I make errors, as we all do, I am mortified, and I try to correct them.

Spell-checkers are only really effective if you already know how to spell most common words but so many contributors don't even try. Typing errors are often 'caught' by a spell-checker and so this is worthwhile. Your error in 'the computer as made a mistake', rather than 'has', would have been passed by a spell-checker, as it is a recognised word - but a grammar checker would have noticied it. Some people even say that 'pedants' are anally-clenched. Not me - I know my declensions.

My guide has always been: learn the rules and then you will know how to break them effectively at appropriate times. Language is flexible and ever-changing. Good - but crass errors simply make people look foolish, even if they are not. Just look up C.V. 'funnies' on Google.

Note that another contributor - Goforit - has 'awfull' spelling. The word, as for most adjectives ending in FUL, is for one L, (except for 'full' which can be used as an adverb) until you add LY e.g. 'awfully'. Clearly, Goforit was just winding you up. Sorry! I have used slang.

I like to be clear for all pupils, as you can see.

Thanks for raising the question. We could all benefit from 'going back to school' from time to time to 'sharpen our tools'. Don't even get me started on apostrophes! (Sorry!)

what an offensive little man you are Ive yet to see one intelligent question by you!what sort of security are you in,Ill bet your a little Rambo wannabee sat at home like a 8 stone computer gangster LOL see your now the Beavis and Butthead of the section with your fellow troll Edward haha oh numpty, you should not have spelt Dear like that. and when you say 'has' you should not write 'as'so in future remember not to drop the 'h'now run along and get your crayons out and stop being a troll giving everyone thumbs up who agrees with you LOL I know for certain 4 of the posters who've give you a star are your troll accounts.Richard being the latest, what a sad little character you are!!Gary,Numpty has used a capital 'd' ok what a section this is of all the interesting questions to answer you concentrate on the braindead Jason LOL Gary imagine the e-mail yesterday about my mam being a prostitute being the biggest laugh I had all day?You are no more a copper than I am!Peter H is another one of your troll accounts what has Louise said to warrant 8 thumbs down?Your making yourself look an idiot troll.

You know before I read the answer, I knew that sarcastic lee peter would have something to say, there is no other way other than the one with legs to spell DEAR, one one with four legs is spelt DEER, yes the spelling is getting worse I hope none o them become doctors or lawyers if so we are in trouble.I think I will use the spell check, just in case lee peter checks my spelling, No spelling mistakes check Okay.

Lots of people have trouble spelling. It isn't the computer or the keyboard, it is their use of the tools.

I have spell check and USE it often. Badly miss-spelled questions and answers diminishes the effectiveness of both.

People who refuse to at least try improving their spelling simply show that they are in love with their ignorance.

I have not got to say on this subject, only yes the spelling is bad. My friends son brought home his homework and written at the bottom of the papers "you must have a calculator" not only that have hand held word checkers, I will give you star for making John Jj smile.

I agree that the spelling and grammar on this site is very poor at times, but does it really matter that much as long as people understand the question. I have seen appalling exam papers from so called professionals that have been basically illegible.

I think you have made a mistake in your edit, it is cheese not smell, or was that done on purpose, still it made me smile. yes the spelling mistakes are getting bad.cannot be bothered to check the spell box.

I find bad spelling errors in most questions and answers, using the spell check box they would find their mistakes, perhaps they are too eager to put the questions or answers,I check the spell box no mistakes.

If you are talking about the answers to questions and the spelling being awfull, its usually a typing error that isnt picked upon before the message is sent surely...?

Well, some people missed the spelling lesson at school, others seem to have missed the one covering punctuation.

The trouble is they spell it the way they pronounce it ,if they cant talk proper they cant spell proper .

WHAT THE BLOODY HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!!!!!

Have you even read your own question? or are you extremely drunk?!

Even more worrying is the fact that there seem to be others on your wavelength as well!

The spell should be checked before posting the question, I do not think that was right to say that about louise, you should know she will come back with some childish remark

Who is to blame for the missing "h" in "has"?
