Can your employer do his own payslips on his prsonal computer?

Is an employer, by law, permited to draw up his own payslips on his PC at home?? Does this not allow him to add money we received when we didnt and make other changes at his own discretion???

But he is adding in that i received holiday pay last year when i didnt..is this not against the law as he is giving false information on a payslip????

Yes he is

An employer can even write up payslips by hand.

He can do it but the information has to be correct. If the information on the payslip is incorrect and you know that he has done this deliberately then you should first tell him and then report him.

He is your employer, he pays your wages, as long as he gives you a payslip which shows your earnings, tax, national insurance, earnings to date, any pension contributions etc then he can produce the wageslip on anything he so chooses to!

Why do you think your employer is going to add anything to your payslip/wages? He could do this even if someone else was paid to produce the wage slips!

I can't see any reason why he can't mock up his own payslips at home.

I buy blank pads and fill them in by hand.

If your employer is dishonest, he is going to try to con you whatever type of payslip he uses.

Good luck!

He can write them on toilet roll while on the toilet if he chooses, what matters is that they are true and an accurate reflection of your pay, otherwise Mr Taxman will be visiting him.
