What are some measures being taken by the government and/or private corporations to prevent computer crime?

which actions are proving themselves better than others?

you can be tracked by ip address, unless you're illegally going through another cpu, paypal at least claims to help with financial protection, China has the great firewall of china, more to keep out porn and political dissent. spyware, disk scanners. microsofts vista is said to be highly security conscious, often asks for physical confirmation from your keyboard to send out info (rather annoying), most emails are linked to a email connected to your paid for account so they know who you are even if they have to go back through 3 junk email addresses.

None None None

Big measures...soon the results will come out...NIGERIA is not the safe heaven any more.
