Go to jail for a prank? |
In my school, there was a person that ordered some items on a school computer. He entered random names and e-mail adresses and even a random credit card number. Would he go to jail or would it just bounce to the fake e-mail? since the credit card number and the name would not match, presumably the order would fail because the credit card would refuse the charge. Misrepresentation and misinformation constitute as credit card fraud and the violator will likely be fined or imprisoned. If you think he's getting punished(not naming names but someone who answered above me) you're a moron. If the credit card number actually belongs to someone and gets debited, the person COULD be in trouble. I fear that the vendor would not have accepted a fake card number, so...maybe he's going to be caught. Whether he or she goes to jail is a question I can't answer. It depends on who, if anyone, got hurt, and whether the school finds out, and the age of the student, and more. Please suggest strongly to the prankster that it's not funny. Well because the credit card name and the # don't match it would be cancelled and it would send an e mail to the address that was put on the order. Now if anyone finds out about this, the e mail holder, the credit card # holder, or the name that was used, they can charge this kid with fraud and he would go to jail for that. It's creeps like him that make the world such a dangerous place and he needs a hard lesson in respect for others. I hope he gets caught for that reason alone. It's kids like him that end up ruining others credits and lives and it needs to be put to a stop ASAP. If you did not do this please tell someone that you trust so that this kid can learn his lesson. This is a troll - the event never happened as described. |
