I have two cards that are in collections, because I signed up for this stupid Debt Relief program, but all the company did was let the credit card payments become late and go to collections. Once I found this out, I canceled my account and started paying my cards again, I am not late on payments now, but they are still in collections. This can be seen as "financial irresponsibility." bad debts are removed from your credit report after seven years. As far as that goes, your credit score could be too low, and that could constitute financial irresponsibility, so that could prevent you from getting the position. |
