If I paid off a ambulance trip a year ago, and they still havent taken it off my credit report, can i sue? |
I had to take an ambulance ride about three years ago that went into default and was sent to a collections agency. I paid the collections agency, but they failed to take it off my credit report and had the audacity to call me a year later to say they "had to verify the credit card," even though they admitted that the bill had been posted and paid. Can I sue them? What would I be able to sue them for? The collection will stay on your credit report 7 years after the last account activity which would be when you made payment. Credit reports include delinquencies. When you pay the bill, it doesn't erase the fact that it was delinquent. no it will be there at least 7 years after you paid it. |
