What is the law governing hospital billing practices in Ohio? |
If you give the hospital money each month can they still take your account to collections because it is not their established minimum payment? Do you have a written agreement stating you will pay a certain amount each month? If so, they should not be able to turn you over so long as you pay that amount on time. If you do not have a written agreement they sure can (and will) turn you over to collections in a heartbeat. Hospitals are notorious for waiting about a nanosecond before turning people over to debt collection. (I'm in Ohio and I worked in doctor's offices for years.) true... |
