What is the law governing hospital billing practices in Ohio?


If you give the hospital money each month can they still take your account to collections because it is not their established minimum payment?

Do you have a written agreement stating you will pay a certain amount each month? If so, they should not be able to turn you over so long as you pay that amount on time. If you do not have a written agreement they sure can (and will) turn you over to collections in a heartbeat. Hospitals are notorious for waiting about a nanosecond before turning people over to debt collection. (I'm in Ohio and I worked in doctor's offices for years.)
