When My husband and myself went to file taxes we asked for a rapid refund. What happened is it kicked backed and said I owed a fms which was aafes I had no idea it was in collections we did move and I had been paying them 20 bucks a month but the account was closed I never got a letter. I have to pay them the 900.00 dollars I owe them. Which is no big deal but can my hubby amend his taxes and do married filiing sperarte then i can go and pay the debt on my owe. Or since we owe a fms does it take longer to get are taxes we filed through jackson hewitt which have not been helpful at all. he said it still should come back in 8 days since we file it electronical just wondering nicole IF YOU ARE IN SOC. SECURITY ---YOU HAVE CERTAIN LAWS COVERING WHAT THEY CAN REQUIRE---REQUEST A COPY FROM IRS IT'S FREE.....ALSO ASK JACK-HEW....... no once the tax forms are filed and accepted ,, you cannot amend for the reasons you stated,, once the irs has this money ,,,then no one is going to get it back without a court fight.. and you will loose... |
