Judgement/personal property liens?

going to try to make this short. there was a 29,000 default judgement against myself, and my parents. it was for a lease-purchase on a house through a frind. i am 22 and only signed that because i was a tenant in the house. they were aware i was not working or making payments and my parents were. i was just over 18 at the time. now they are in collections and in 9 days they can come here and do a sheriff's sale on our items in the house we are currently renting. we have a $1,000 exemption on our personal items. does anyone know if this is a $1,000 per person, or for the 3 of us together. the judgement was made against all 3 of us

I am just guessing, but I would have to say it is per person, as the judgement was against all three of you.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful...=/
