A court date next week, need a few pointers.?

I have a court date 2/14/08 to sue someone for a second phone line that I had taken out for him(Roger) last April 2007.I called Sprint two weeks after to disconnect the line from this guy because he called me a "B..ch", instead Sprint changed the number so he continued to utilize the phone. So come Mother's Day, I tried to call and Sprint said that I owed 1.100.00 dollars. Not sure at the time why but I called his new line that he told me "he" got from my mom phone and got his voicemail so I left a message. He called me back and I realized the caller id displayed my name, "What?". To make a long story short I had a number for his friend Chris, so he told me that Roger was still using the phone because he said I disconnected the line so it would effect me.How stupid? So now Sprint took me to collections and he refuse to pay because I don't want to be with him.I have IM's of him apologizing and confessing, call details, plus e-mail of him saying he won't pay me.
Do you think I will win?

If you pursue this case you will need all the evidence you can bring to court. Have sprint give you all their information on the installation, order to cease operation of the phone, and any communications between 'Roger' and the company. Yes, there is a good case in your favor and possibly a counter suit against Sprint.

Sounds like it's between you & Sprint. If they didn't disconnect after you asked, I would talk to them.

If you requested the line
You're the one responsible.
Maybe the judge will rule in your favor and maybe the judge will feel you need to learn a lesson.

If you ask to disconnect (and have paper evidence) then there is no real case to answer. Just because Sprint gave him a new number is no concern of yours - it is between Roger & Sprint. Be lucky cause I know you are going to win.

LOL
