Can an overseas company still get a collection agency after you? |
caryh30: I'm being falsely charged by a company and trying to get it changed but if it doesn't, I want to know whether I should pay or not. Don't assume, or else you make an *** out of you and me. If by overseas you mean global or international than yes. Actually, most collection agencies (besides the IRS) are privately owned businesses. Nobody cares about the problems of foreign nations because they never contributed anything to society. Which is why America rules the world and they don't. Yup. Absolutely. The United States will recognize judgments from many other states, and the individual states will recognize judgments from other states and other governments as well. There are usually procedures for making the foreign judgment "local" under the UNIFORM FOREIGN MONEY JUDGMENT RECOGNITION ACT. Pay your bills and then don't worry about it. |
