Why citizens that rent do not have rights? |
tell me why a manager of a HUD/Section 8 property has the right to not renew your lease when you have never caused any problem or been late on your rent. let's say you have improved the property and the current manager still has it out for you because she feels threatened by you....This manager is afraid you will take her job/ So is there a lawyer out there in south texas who will help you fight this. Does anyone know of a Civil Rights Activist who will help as I am disabled and live on my social security disability and am being harrassed by our manager. I need some one to talk to. Help Quick NUmber one, you are disabled! That's plus for you! They can't kick you out on to the streets! Go over her head - MUCH higher, and tell them what this person is doing!! And why is she feels threatened by you!? If these guys won't help you, tell them you are going straight to the Media! Better than a lawyer cos you don't have to pay them!! You may not be the only one who is being harassed by this person!! How's it going look when - there you are! Out on the Streets! You may be opening a whole new ball of wax on these people!!!! Someone who owns property has the right to choose whether they will renew a lease. The lease only covers the specified time in the lease. You have rights under that specific lease, but it doesn't allow you to take over the property. Your rights are limited to the lease agreement terms, and unless there is a renewal provision, that's it. They are not allowed to discriminate, though. And you might check HUD regulations. As a landlord myself, tenants have a TON of rights; the amount of rights they have can actually make it a pain sometimes. Any time I think about doing anything I have to pull out this giant manual to make sure I'm within the law. In my state, at least, it's perfectly legal to refuse to renew a lease for whatever reason seen fit as long as it's not legally-defined discrimination. if your lease is up, its up. its not fair to the rentee to be forced to keep people in a house, especially if he wants to sell it, or rent it for more money etc. fact is u dont own anything. u cant force somebody to let u rent from them if they dont want to! sorry but there is nothing u can do |
