Why does the American Civil Liberties Union Womens rights but no mens rights?

I am curious to know how come the ACLU does not have a section or even talk about the protection of mens rights in this country. It seems they protect the rights of women but not the rights of men. Womens rights, and legal always seem to protect the women from so much but always make the men pay it seems.

I believe in equality, and personally a female is equal to man and should be treated as such. But it seems like in family law women always get the upper hand in cases cause they are female. I was just curious to know why, when women rights groups trample on the equality of mens rights im hoping im sounding and putting this the right way so i dont get stupid answers.

the ACLU is a failure of an organization. What they SAY they stand for is great, but that isn't what they are really about. They do more to inhibit the rights of most people than they do to protect or promote them.

The country was founded on men's rights and men have controlled the writings of the past. The thinking was that women were minorities and thus were not given birth rights to have the freedom that men do.
Women are now equal in many areas but still must fight for segregation in somethings.

The ACLU usually takes on cases that protect rights that are not related to gender, ie right of free speech, protection for disabled people, etc. They do not work just on women's rights issues.

What men's rights are you suggesting have been violated?

uh...because the rights as written were always intended to fully protect MEN? If you are missing something, feel free to call them.

Men's rights are protected by the ACLU. All people's rights are.
