Thanks again bullwink. can i have your email address.?

i have a pretty heavy civil suit against me right now and it is based solely on lies and the plaintiffs money.
i had an attorney for a short while, who is also the state judge in town. but when the plaintiff threw a handful of motions on my lawyers desk i didn't have the $1000 to have them answed, so i answered them myself and have stayed in the fight so far, by myself. bobby

I'm a judge, and I am retired from the practice of law. Contact Legal Aid. They often have a civil side as well as a criminal side. Check with any law school in your area. Don't miss deadlines. Half an answer on time is better than a whole answer that is late. Tell the judge you're proceeding "pro se." Ask him if there is someone local who might be willing to help you, "pro bono." Contact your local Bar Association and ask them the same thing. You need someone local. Laws are a little different everywhere.
