How do I get started in filing a civil suit?

Here is the last question I asked... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...
I have agreed with most the people who answered since my ordeal happened.

I don't know which direction to take... I've been told to talk to legal aid, etc. But I wasn't sure if thats the best route or if there's another way.

I'm a college student and make/have little money... I mostly want to bring this jerk to civil court because he came back three times while chasing me... He did not give up and probably wouldn't have if the cops didn't show up.

Like almost everything, this story made the local news and is constantly with me.

I don't have much... I live by myself and my closet family member is 850 miles away so if someone could direct me into the right direction...

ie, a pro bono lawyer, legal aid, or another option??

I'm located in Murfreesboro, TN just incase someone knows the area or specfic places to seek help.

You have a good lawsuit.

Go to the yellow pages. Look in the section for lawyers. See the ads for the nice sharks. Go talk with a few of them. This will not cost you a penny. The lawyer may find a way to get an insurance company to set you up for life in clover. Or you can have the satisfaction of watching this jerk drive a ten-year-old beater for the rest of his life (because as soon as he gets a nice one, you can levy on it and sell it at auction), because it's indubitable that insurance will not cover your whole judgment.
