Inalienable rights?

Is it just me or does everyone seem to complain about infringement of rights but never do anything about it. I always hear people going on about civil rights discrimanation and when I tell them about the American Civil Liberties Union, and that they can file a suit with evidence they claim they have, they backpedal and pretend it isn't that important.

Also when I tell them about my experiences with discrimination they are not only not sympathetic, I have had someone try to justify the actions of an employer who wouldn't let women take out the trash or become managers.

It seems IMO that everyone is apathetic and that they are willing to give up so many important rights for imagined safety.

most people have no idea what Inalienable rights are or were they come from!

Inalienable rights are given by god, not by the government civil rights and human rights are given to you by the government, which can be taken away by the government. this is one reason that religion was taken out of schools and why the Declaration of Independance, The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are not taught in the schools anymore!

Most people will give up some of their Liberty to feel safe. they feel the government will protect them, but instead they will find themself and children into slavery.

One needs only to stand up and claim their alienable right protections, the government can not take those rights away, but most people will not stand up for what they truly believe, let someone else do it!

You're worried about discrimination, try torture for infringing rights. Write to your congressman and confront them about extraordinary rendition (exporting people to other countries to be tortured for information, usually based on little or no evidence).

What about freedom of speech? You no longer have the right to protect outside of 'protest zones'. This makes a mockery of the power of the people to hold their elected representatives to account.
