Do you think this will make a civil case or go anywhere? or not at all?

Will this make a civil case in court if someone is being threatened in written by a law enforcement personnel (or they claimed to be a cop right now after serving basic training in the air force reserve) to be made "a stat" and "i'll **** you up real good", etc.? This happened after said person was accused of being a thief for petty theft at a pizza joint that they used to work at 3 years ago before joining the military.

The accusing person has moved away from the city where the theft happened and the law enforcement personnel lives. They were just trying to make a point which they were afraid to do before in fear of losing their job over blindfolded favoritism at work. It does sound like drama, but it did happen.

What is the best way to file something as evidence for self- protection before anything happens in this case? Go to file with the police or lawyer?

Thank you very much in advance for your advices.

I can't tell if you have a case from the details you have provided. See a lawyer. Initial consultations are usually free.
