What's with the jena 6 protesters?

i just saw footage of the event and couldn't believe what i saw.

these protesters actually believe that 6 black kids beating an unconcious white kid shouldn't be a crime and the kids should be let off completely.

so to them, it should be legal for a gang of black kids to randomly attack any white person and beat him within inches of his life and not be charged for it.

we all know that had it been 6 white kids who beat a black kid, those same protesters would demand his head.

is this what the civil rights movement was all about? that blacks should have more rights than everyone else and whites don't have any?

i am disgusted by those protesters. it goes to show that they don't care about right or wrong. it's all about color.

i don't care what color someone is. nobody should get away with breaking the law and use history as an excuse. my great grandfather was killed at pearl harbor, do i have the right to go around assaulting every japanese person i see?

I think you answered your own question: It's all about color.

Just like the Duke case, and just like numerous others. Another example would be the almost non existent news coverage of the white couple that was tortured, raped, and murdered by a group of blacks at the first of the year.

Of coarse I'm racist if I point these things out. Because I'm white.

Martin Luther King Jr. would be outraged at today's situation.

you obviously have no clue what is REALLY going on. Not one thing you've typed is accurate, so go look up ALL the facts, including what they are Really protesting then get back to us.

It's the same old same old.

They will get off. If they don't those same protesters et. al will be calling Johnny Cochran and filing a discrimination suit.

The African Americans in the Jena community are upset because they believe Caucasians get off with no punishment. Apparently some students hung nooses around a tree as a joke and the Jena 6 took it upon themselves to seek revenge. The question is about the prosecuting attorney and how he's treated African Americans in the past. I guess they've gotten hit hard while Caucasians that he serves are able to walk away. The argument is that had this been Caucasian students they wouldn't have been prosecuted so severely.

It is STUPIDITY. We can't get over racism in this country due to antics such as these.

The problem is the prosecuter messed this case up. He should of charged them right in the first place then there wouldnt be the issue up right now. Its not the boys who got jumps fault its the prosecutors fault for being a racist bastard that treated blacks worse then whites. If I was the parents of the kid who got jumped I would sue the prosecutors office for ruining my sons chances of getting justice.

I HOPE THAT YOU ARE JUST PRETENDING TO BE IGNORANT
