In the state of Florida, how many whites have received the death penalty for killing a black person?

A few years ago, I remember reading that not one white person had ever received the death penalty in the state of Florida, for killing a Black person. I am preparing a speech for MLK day and I want to remind all listeners that there is still much work to do in the area of Civil Rights and Equality, not just in the area of individual rights, but in the Equal Value of every American.

A search of the database on completed executions indicates no white person executed for the murder of a black in FL. I was unable to locate information on those who may still be on death row. I caution you, HOWEVER, because data on execution and race are sometimes difficult to interpret. It is true that if the victim was white a defendent is more likely to receive the death penalty, but that holds independent of the race of the defendant. Here is a reliable website that may be helpful.
