Why do the republicans alway swiftboat politicians that represent the people & attack anyone with a differing?

viewpoint that may have a compelling case (ex-Michael J Fox attacked by Rush L), and Max Cleland, the the vet who lost 2 legs and an arm in Viet Nam attacked by an ad comparing him to Saddam Hussein and attacks by Anne C.

Now they are swiftboating Dennis Kucinich in line to head an important House committee that will expose the administration's lies that led to Iraq and the attack on our civil rights.

Go here and read in on the right hand side of his home page http://kucinich.us/
It is about 1/3 of the way down under the title Letter from Jimmy Dimora and under that The Paper Swift Boat Also hear Congressman Kucinich discussing the GOP attack, on the Randi Rhodes Show, Friday, Oct 27 (link there)

They are also attacking Stephanie Tubb-Jones who brought us the histioric challenge and vote fraud in Ohio to congress on Jan 6th.
Why are they always attacking and swiftboating & not talking about why they think they are better. I'm so sick of the awful way they treat people

and it is usually really good people they attak. whatevery happened to do unto iothers by these saying value voters vote for them...what the..

Essentially, it's a combination of the fact that the current republican party as a whole isn't exactly the best group of people out there, and the current democratic party as a whole is too afraid to take action against their opponents when they need to [aka: as much as I hate it to be true, the Democratic party right now is acting like a bunch of acquiescent p.ussies].
So this leads to the Republican party taking every jab possible at the Democratic party, and the democrats just say, "Hey, stop that!".

Then, on your point of, "& not talking about why they think they are better", is basically how it is for the Republicans AND the Democrats now. Everyone just says why you shouldn't vote for the opponent and doesnt say crap about what they're doing themselves. Unfortunately, that's even more the case [the second part] with the Democrats right now. And the Republicans just take every dirty stab in the book at them because they know they can get away with it.

I wan't referring to Tubb-Jones or Kucinich who won with 83% and 67%^ respectively..they are both brave and often stand against the reps and lamo dems swaying them at times. Appreciate these two. Report It

Republicans are not the only one's who do this.

"Swift boat" ? Isn't that where "Kerry" spent 3 months and saw every atrocity know to man before he shot himself in the foot ? We can't help it if you guys act like idiots ?

Bob dole lost his arm in nam and nobody even said anything about it back in 96. When someone takes a person who is disabled and uses them for politics, its sick.

Oh, and the senate intelligence committy, the one that apporved the intelligence about iraq was, and still is half democrat. The majority party chooses the members, and the republicans have allowed the democrats to hold half the seats on every major committy.

I fail to see how you can be insulted by the GOP when the democrats are constantly putting down the GOP, accusing them of anything they feel like, without any evidence.
The GOP has a set of party rules, which include restricting acusations against other parties unless they are backed up with examples, because it is unfair to blindly accuse others. they are also limited to pursuing only 1 investigation of a member of another party at any one time, in order to prevent abuse of power.
These rules are meant to discourage dishonest people from running for office.
