Should the ACLU be sued for defending illegal activity?

1. With illegal immigration being a big deal, the ACLU states that it is in violation of their civil rights to deny benefits to the Illegals, meaning they should get free health care, free education for their kids and govt. assistance checks (all of which the American tax payer pays for). But I was under the impression that if you enter the country illegally, you are breaking the law.

2. There is an organization called NAMBLA.It is a sick organization that believes grown men should be allowed to have sex with little boys and the ACLU is on their legal team defending their right to do this.

To: jurydoc- Entering this country with out proper paperwork is still ILLEGAL (Thats why they're called ILLEGAL ALIENS)So,how much does the ACLU donate to the education and medical of the illegals. It sounds to me that the ACLU is all for them being here and believe that the American tax payer should be ok with paying for their education and ALL there medical bills while they send most of their money back to Mexico,do Nothing for our economy, and bring down the American education system.
As far as NAMBLA is concerned where you state that the ACLU DEFENDS their rights to BELIEVE in having sex with young boys(????????????). Thats a great answer seeing how a high profile former member of the ACLU was arrested for having KIDDIE PORN on his computer.

Is the ACLU defending his right to watch KIDDIE PORN?

The ACLU recently filed suit against the Federal Government. Why? Because the Federal Government finally decided to start enforcing its own laws, after it was pointed out that one of the biggest employers of illegals is.... the Federal Government itself.

The ACLU contends that requiring someone to produce a valid SSN is an invasion of privacy. The ACLU is saying that the government has no right to know if someone is here illegally.

If they should somehow prevail, all the illegal aliens will have an easy time staying, and the current 12 million or so illegal Mexicans may increase greatly once word gets out that our government doesn't even have the authority to enforce its own laws!

The ACLU always contends that, while it may seem they are championing some nutty case, the underlying principles must be upheld, whether they be free speech, invasion of privacy, or whatever. However, what the ACLU is too stupid to realize is that a society cannot function when the legitimacy of everything is constantly called into question.

In a civil society, we must learn to "pick our fights". Trying to make everything perfect only makes everything chaotic. For example, if the ACLU thinks that the disgusting perverts at NAMBLA are being singled out while other questionable groups are not being investigated....... so what! The activities that the ACLU defends are indefensible. They should focus only on cases where they are actually doing some good, not promoting illegal or dangerous activity as they seem to do so frequently nowadays.

We should just disbar any ACLU lawyer that advocates illegal behavior. That will stop this illegitimate, rogue, criminal organization cold in its slimy tracks.

I'm not a big fan of the ACLU, but aren't lawyer's jobs to defend illegal activities?

1. Entering the country illegally is a civil violation, not a criminal one.

2. The ACLU is defending their right to BELIEVE this, not to DO it.

Ok, troll. First of all, the ACLU doesn't represent NAMBLA or defend kiddie porn. I defy you to show me anything, other than the pictures in your warped little mind, that shows that they do.

Second, the ACLU's stated mission is to defend the Bill of Rights, which, since you obviously are not aware, is a set of laws that applies to everyone, regardless of their legal status. The same first amendment that allows you to spew diarrhea of the mouth on YA every day also grants anyone, regardless of their legal status, freedom of speech and expression (which is why the ACLU is representing them in certain lawsuits). Entering the country illegally might be a crime, but it's not a crime to represent them when they ask for the basic rights that they're entitled to under the law.
