Calling health department on place of business. ( my job)?

I tried to call them the other day and was told that they don't deal with retail business..which doesn't make sense does it? who do i need to call then?
some reasons for wanting to call are that there was a flood over a year ago and the basement still has some flood mud and water in it. The gas has been getting shut off. was off for one day, owner rigged gas line and pipes from apts upstairs to work in his business but gas has been shut off for 3 days now, and it's freezing cold in there. I am pregnant with twins and these conditions just don't seem to be suitable but would like some opinions as to what route to take and who i need to call.

oh and update..i have a new job. i start tomorrow. i would usually put a 2 weeks notice but in this situation i'm not.

YOu need to talk to OSHA about an unsafe workplace.

Definitely contact OSHA about unsatisfactory work conditions. The health dept. only deals with places that serve food.

If I was that worried, I would quit. Obviously that SOB doesn't care about his workers, does the job pay good or are you so hardup to be forced to endure.

Contact OSHA and consider to quit or find another job TODAY...

The health department only deals with businesses involving food. You need to call OSHA
