What happens when an employer lies to unemployment insurance? |
I got a paper in the mail my formal employer is appealling my benefits. The info as to why is clearly wrong this appeal shouldn't take but a few mintues. The employer always gets the case denied. The results are the appeal. You need to go to the appeal. They will believe the employer first since the employer pays unemployment insurance and kind of knows the right words to say. Of course your employer will be in trouble if lying, but who will tell? If you can lose from it you should say something about it. you have the opportunity, which is why I guess they sent you the copy. You can appeal the decision and have a hearing. Be sure to have a lawyer with you when you go to the hearing, it will be worth it, trust me on this one. Been there. Go to jail. |
