Can an individual appeal there own case write a letter to court on a patent? |
We have a patent number and we have been trying to get the utility patent but we keep getting rejected the lawyer wants 1800 to file an appeal and chances are we might not get it can we just appeal the case ourselves and write the letter to judge You could file a Revocation of Power of Attorney and file the appeal yourself. However, an Appeal Brief is a very formal documents with a lot of very specific requirements. If you don't prepare it correctly, it will be rejected. an idividual can indeed appeal, but an appeal does not consist of writing a letter to a judge. If you don't know what is involved in an appeal, don't even try it. |
