What requirements do you have to be a cop

im only 15 but being a cop sounds like a very appealing job to me when i am 18, i just love what they do

can anybody give me alittle info about this

When I was getting my BA in Criminal Justice, I had alot of courses with potential officers. This is what I know from MN: you have to be at least 21, need to have either a 2 yr or 4 yr degree in law enforcement, possibly criminal justice, and there is a difference in most places. In MN, they have to pass POST exam and the police academy. You will need to be in shape and pass the physical and you will need to pass a pysch eval. You should keep your criminal record clear of everything, specifically domestic abuse and theft charges. I know plenty of ppl that couldnt become a license police officer because of even a juvenile theft charge. but good for you for planning ahead. Hope this helps.

Find the police academy in your town and go talk to them. Think about criminal justice classes and stay in shape. I hate when I see cops that are busting out at the seems. We should make sure they stay in peak physical shape and pass a physical yearly. Who wants to see a 90 lbs crack-head out run a 300lb cop.

are you in britain???
