If an employer does not show up for an unemployment appeal does the employee automatically win? |
If an employer does not show up for an unemployment appeal does the employee automatically win? when you show up for the appeal and the employer is not there on time ...ask for an immediate dismissal due to the employer not showing up .. they have to grant this !!!! I have read that if the employer was the one appealing because you were initially granted unemployment and they do not appear then it is dismissed. Yes. They technically will give the person 10 minutes after the scheduled time to show up. After that, the case is closed. The only way it could be rescheduled is if the employer was in a very serious accident or had called prior to the appointment with a very very good excuse. No. Unless the employer has made it known he cannot make the appeal meeting, probably. This is an official meeting that he has requested and should be there. They may award you the appeal if he is a no show. I'd say that would depend on the circumstances.. but I'd also say that if the employer don't appear, that it would be a win win situation for the employee.. well it is certainly evidence you don't consider it important enough to bother with. |
