Writ of mandamus against USCIS alone?or with a lawyer? |
I have a pending case with USCIS since a year and here in California specially in L.A cases like mine are processed very fast. You probably want a writ of procedendo. That is the writ to compel someone to proceed, to decide a case. It is never granted, but just the filing of it will often move a case along. You can write it yourself and filed it in the u.s. district court. Such petitions generally require personal service on the respondent, and you generally have to identify some specific person as the respondent in order to effect that service. Whether it is a good idea or not is another question. |
