Appeal Hearing on Unemployment Compensation?

I filed an appeal on my denial of unemployment compensation benefits. Does anyone know how long it takes for the hearing to be scheduled?

Depends on your state, and how busy your unemployment commission is. Usually, you will hear of your appeal date within 2 to 4 weeks of filing your appeal. If you raised significant administrative issues in your appeal, you may have to wait a bit longer, just so the administrative officer can research and hear your case.

It varies from state to state. Call your local office.

My suggestion: Do not stay on unemployment like it's a vacation. In this unsettled economy it's best to get a job NOW in case the economy gets worse.
