Foster care and adoption? |
Ok, I've been thinking about International adoption for years! However, people keep telling me that I should consider US adoption. I can even do foster care to adopt, the state covers adoption fees and I would get paid for the time the child was in foster care with me. I live in VA and I'm just wondering what they pay for foster care here? I've always been told it was really cheap, but I'm not sure. And if anyone can answer this I'd be grateful. What is the chance that if I do foster care I can even adopt the child? I always had thought that when doing foster care it was temporary and they normally go back with their family after some time. I've heard horror stories about people falling in love with the children and then they leave. Is this always the case? I'm so confused! International adoption or US adoption? It differs from state to state, but on average around $200-$500 per month per child... |
