I need an adoption attorney preferable pro bono to assist me in filing legal paperwork for "heir ship"

My mother has declared that she has no children of birth, true, but she adopted 2 children and surrendered parental right of 1 of those children July 6 1976, she has placed personal items in her sisters name/possession and liquadated assets since my fathers death in 2000, whos will was never probated. My husband and I helped her get a reversed morgage on my parents home, upon placement to a rest home by her sister, unknown to fathers family or me, the adopted child, the bank was notified of her leaving the resident, I was told that next of kin was my mothers sister. also the resthome did not even have me listed as next of kin. rest home states the "responsible party" will have, say and can notifiy me if I need info about my mother and or her affairs. the responsible party is my mothers sister. her comment is I want alot of things but you are not one of them and you are not my sisters next of kin, I am her sister. There is no $ to inherit, but I want heirship and to be acknowledged.

Call your local bar association. They can give you the name of an attorney who can at least give you a legal consultation, at low or no cost.
If you are legally adopted, then you are an heir. Your adopted mother can omit you from her will. She can omit you from her life.
Still, you need to talk to an attorney who works in probate court. Best of luck.
