What are the laws on adoption?

my children were put into foster care by social services now they say they are to be adopted were do i stand on adoption laws

they were put into care and i am not abad parent i love my kids and allways cared for them i am a single parent

In British law "the safety of the child is paramount", so it very much depends why they were put into care and what, if anything, has been done to attempt to improve/fix your parenting skills. Have you had any contact with them since they were put into care?

Your social worker should be keeping you fully appraised of the why's and wherefore's of what is happening. If he/she isn't, then demand to know.

Well it depends why they were put in care etc i think. Personally i'd say, if their in care, and are going to be adopted shouldnt you have made a better job of caring for your children so they wouldnt be in that position in the first place?

when my niece was adopted both parents had to sign to say they agreed with this, and they were both awful parents so think this is always the case. Don't think they can be adopted without your consent. Hope this helps xxx

Did you sign any document in relation to this?
