I need help correcting my abortion speech. what if ABRAHAM LINCOLN'S MOM aborted him?

i just need help putting it together a better. and maybe i could add something. maybe something interesting. my speech in dull. and my vocab is terrible. i need something to really persuade folks. i would have picked an easier topic, but my teacher told me i had to use the same topic from my research paper ( which is no fun). so im stuck with the most difficult topic of all.
heres my speech:
More pregnancies are terminated in one year than all of aids cases combined in the past twenty years And Approximately 4000 abortions occur per day. Day after day, week after week, year after year, innocent unborn children are quietly destroyed behind sterile clinic doors. . .and no one seems to care. Abortion needs to be stopped. Fetuses are living human beings. Some might argue this question. but a human being eats and grows overtime just like we do. What if you made your mom decided she didn't want to have anything to do with YOU anymore, so she just threw you off a cliff. and KILLED YOU. It's not any different from aborting a fetus, killing a human child.
They鈥檙e defenseless human beings depending on us to develop. and just think, some day they might grow up to be a person of history.
What if Abraham Lincoln Wasn鈥檛 born? Or Martin Luther king? What if their mothers decided to abort them? then what? They wouldn't have been able to make the decisions and changes that they have made today. Abortion should be legal only in cases of medical problems or conditions. "What about rape or incest?",one might ask. well for one thing, rape cases are very rare. And if it does happen, it doesn't give woman the right to abort the child. The child doesn't deserve to suffer because of someone else's wrong doings. Instead of allowing them to abort. They should just have the child, and if they need to, they should seek counseling. if they choose to, they can give it up for adoption. If not there are plenty of ways to get help, so you can take care of your child. food stamps, free health care, charity, and so on. A friend of my mom, is a police officer working at a good job. she gets child support, they pay for her rent, schooling, food, etc. "well if we make abortions illegal, the population will rise.". that's not true. The u.s. and Canada population is quit low. its just from immigration. More people coming in more developed countries leaving fewer people in other countries.

Are you arguing the point with someone who will argue to allow abortions? If so, I'd leave out the part about Lincoln, because that person would come back with "a fetus could just as likely grow up to be Adolph Hitler or Jeffrey Dahmer".

You can say that choice didn't exist so women died in child birth and no one cared when they were raped because there were no laws against it.

Most women had 10 or more children back then.

Only men had rights and they did WHATEVER they wanted to do.

1. rape cases are not rare. i don't know what you are snorting.
2. there are so many kids in the foster system and many are abused in foster and group homes
don't make these points they lessen your credibility.

may i give my opinion. So sad, that people think it is okay the take away one of our basic rights, the freedom to control our own body. MY body belong to me. This is me. I am not pro abortion by any means, just think it shoud be left up to the individual female what she want to do concerning her on destiny. My God, while should someone else have the right to make a decision about something so important. I think what really is ashame is all the unwanted babies that were allowed to be bought into the world, that are being warehoused in institutions. The so called point you made about lincoln was stupid. I would have been another man to feel his shoes, his name just would not have been lincoln. Our freedom is being stripped away from us very rapidly, and we should be very concerned. If they take our right to make choices about our own destiny, then what else will they take.

scientists have NOT concluded that fetus is not a life. it is still being argued. this is to the person a few above me. an abortion should be a LAST RESORT to save the mother. people may argue that it's their body, but, which life are they killing?

sorry, i got bored. but anyways, what's most important is the manner in which you present this. stress the right words, put emotion into it, act like you care even if you don't and it'll all turn out fine
