Do you approve of these proposals to prevent teenage pregnancy?

A solution to radically reduce the number of single parent families is being
proposed at http://www.1party4all.co.uk.

(a) Deprive a single mother of child benefit if she cannot produce a
marriage certificate.
(b) Fine the single mother for producing an illegitimate baby, say 拢1000, if
she does not name the father.
(c) Require her parent(s) to pay this sum if she cannot or will not.
(d) Fine the father of an illegitimate child a sum of money, say 拢1000.
(e) Require the parent(s) of that father to pay this sum if he cannot pay it
himself.
(f) Require that the mother give up the child for adoption before more lives
are ruined.

In one fell swoop would the problem be solved by these measures, which will
have the effect of encouraging greater parental interest in controlling
their offspring.

http://www.1Party4All.co.uk: Democratising Direct Democracy

"It ain't democracy if it ain't direct democracy!"

No. What makes you think that single parents are inferior to married ones?

And please stop spamming for your party. If anything, it's put me off with your draconian measures. What next - witch trials?

UK is now under the control of the Anti-Christ - G.Brown.

...and God said, "Go forth and multiply".

Thou shall not sinned shall stone her

no no no and again no

Why fine or punish the female only?Is one person can make herself pregnant?
The real reason for teenage pregnancy is lack of sex education, absence of moral education in schools and colleges and lack of emotional support of parents/family.Free availability of condoms,XXX rated CDs and pornography are other reasons. We should have better family life and education system. There is immediate need for restoring lost moral values.Parents should be more responsible.
I was shocked to learn that in some families, parents have sex and children view them!

That is a riduculing of socialism and the direct rites of human beings.

No-one in the name of England or any other civilization or country in the world has the rite in which to let that come about.
While people settle to set as much things as this while peadophiles who hunt them children are free?
And while the police hunt down people that missed the bin with a wrapper and arrest them other people are commiting serious crimes against humanity.

In the rebacking of anything of such dread as this. No human being of any authority, status or class could propose the coming of this down right wrong peice of law.

It is a breach of human rites.
And upon this is ridiculous.
I dread that anyone would agree with this, if so then they must be as stupid as the person who said it.

While I appreciate the labour government and think there great, the action against this needs to be alot more authorative and sincere.

Aye well its like this The new world order will decide

And what about the mothers who were raped.

These proposals aren't democratic they are fascist dictator policies.

why don't you just propose killing the underclass, birth control in the water or performing state approved forced abortions?

I think that should read, "It ain't democracy".

I think that may be going too far, something needs to be done but maybe not that drastic, remembering that these people have human rights too.

No Andromed, that's a bit too close to eugenics, and will make an innocent suffer. I think it's down to lack of respect in society, the church was a good guide for the last generation, and communities would frown and look down on this, problem was it was always the girls fault, which was unfair, but forbidden fruit is alway a temptation, so I have to agree with other posts here, that education it the way forward.

You have absolutely no understanding of how girls get pregnant!
Which in some ways is very sad

But maybe you are young with no experience, or old with a bad memory, or worse no memory to fall back on

Wow, no way... That sounds extremely fascist and do you really think fining people 1000 pounds will stop accidental teen pregnancies?

If people want the baby then they shouldn't be fined 1000 pounds and considering most are accidental it wouldn't solve anything... Also, a baby born to wedlock won't mean it will be any better off than a baby that isn't

I'm a bastard and that hasn't changed anything in my life, at all... To think so would be completely wrong.
