Why can a women give up legal and financial responsibility for a child(adoption) but, a man can't?

Why can a women give up legal and financial responsibility for a child(adoption) but, a man can't?

Because there are not equal rights for men and women when it comes to the child THEY made together. Yeah its a bunch of BS. They get to choose because its their body. Apparently women have no personal responsibility for there actions in making a child they can kill it, keep it, or sell it depending on how they feel. But men have to pay regardless of his intentions or wishes.

The answer is completely wrong. A woman has to make a good effort to find and contact the father before giving a child for adoption, and a man can give up parental rights, but the mother has to be involved too. It's very equal. Report It

I couldn't have said it better myself. Report It

Because a woman is the one to carry and birth said child

Because when a man gives up that right, Technically he can only give it up if there is another man ready to adopt, but how many women do u know are willing to adopt their new boyfriends kid, not many.

BECAUSE THAT IS JUST THE WAY IT IS. WOMEN CAN LEAVE IT ON A DOORSTEP TOO.

if a child is given up for adoption, both biological parents MUST give up legal and financial responsibility. If they didn't, the the adoptive couple could not legally have the child. So to answer your question, the man CAN in the case of adoption

Women can not forgo their financial responsibility without the approval of the father.

Men can if they give up their parental rights.

You are confused here. If a woman gives up legal and financial responsibility for a child, it means she has given that child up for adoption. IF she gives the child up for adoption, the man has NO financial responsibility...the adoptive parents assume all of the financial burden. They become the mother and father.

A man ONLY has legal and financial responsibility IF the girl he got pregnant keeps the baby. This is because he is the still the father and must help the mother meet the needs of the child. The needs of a child are expensive during those 18 years it takes for the child to reach adulthood.

society in a backwards kind of way feels that promiscuous men produce babies without any consequences. its kind of the govts. way of making you think twice. cause it'll cost you. from experience!
