If i have a baby with a guy can he give the baby up for adoption when it is born? |
so that he gets out of all the responsablities and the amount i pay him per month for giving me the chance to have a baby gets legalized and then no matter what he has no legel attach to the child and i have to pay the amount per month until completly paid out or else he can take me to court.. does anyone understand I live in quebec canada i know the laws are different depending on the state or province so please help!!! we have discussed this situation and its i that want to have a chilkd and has accepted the term of paying out a x amount and that he doesnt have any responsibilites of fathering. In the US, the father cannot give up the responsibilities unless there is another willing to step in and accept them, in other words an adoptive father. I don't think the laws are that different than in the states and the answer is NO. He cannot give your baby up for adoption. Your guy actually thought he found a loop hole. That's funny. The only way he can get out of the responsibilities is if you allow it. If you married a new guy and the new guy wanted to adopt your baby and your old guy didn't object then he could get out of it. But he can't get out of it just because he wants to. You need to talk to an attorney. It would seem unlikely that he could do this. The monetary arrangement that you described is hard to figure out. Were you paying him money each month to impregnate you? |
