If it were what should be done about the women who get them and thoses who provide them. What kind of treatment should those who get hurt having backally ones be (catholic hospitals will not help women who have had abortions, but criminals in jail can get treatment)? What should be done about women who do not want the child and do not get prenatal care?
Also, why do people think that abortion can be solved by adoption? I was asking why people think that stopping abortion will allow more people to have adoptions fullfilled. There are plenty of people who plan to give their child up for adoption, but once they have carried the child for 9mns, given birth, and hold it in their arms they change thier minds *Is Catholic*
Abortion should be illegal. It is murder and one of the few specific sins that cry out to God for vengeance. There are few things that a human can do to another human that is as heinous as abortion.
In a just and moral society abortion wouldn't occur because people would have been properly educated about their sexuality and would engage in sex in a healthy and adult manner.
However as such societies are hard to come by, the state must protect its citizens by criminally prosecuting the practice of abortion, which is the willful murder of a child who is still in the womb.
To this end, all medical personal involved in the abortion should be treated and charged with capitol murder, as such a murder was premeditated, planed, and carried out with full knowledge and willfully. This should be done as soon as abortion become illegal again.
As society transitions back to being free from the disease of the murder of abortion, women should be treated more leniently and over time having the charge ending up as the same as an individual who hires another to commit murder.
Also it is a complete lie that you would say that Catholic Hospitals will not help women who have had an abortion. That is a lie and untrue completely.
In a just society, women would want their children because they would only marry when they had chosen to accept children. However in such rare instances where women do not want their children (a terrible thing) or who cannot care for their children, the State must take it upon itself to be the guardians of these children and care for them and provide love for them. This can also be done by local groups. Adoption is the only option made out of love and decency. If the mothers health is at risk, should be the only way to murder an unborn child. yes Abortion is something that should be a private matter but has become a subject of public debate.
Do I think it should be the sole method of birth control a woman uses? No, but the reality is for some women it is their birth control method of choice. Thankfully there are few women like that.
Do I think it should be abolished? No, there are a lot of very valid reasons for a woman to not carry another child to term. Most birth control methods have a chance of failure and despite all the precautions a woman takes she may find herself with a baby on the way that she is unable to provide for. Personally I believe if they would allow women as young as 18 to get a tubal ligation if they choose to, there would be far fewer abortions. Unfortunately, even now, doctors will make a woman wait until her 30's before they will perform the procedure and even then, the doctors often try very hard to talk her out of it.
It is easy to say the woman should always have the baby and give it up for adoption, but how many of you have ever done it? I have, and its not easy. You spend months trying to pick out a family that you hope will take great care of your baby andgive them a wonderful home. You go through labor, knowing that the first glimpse you get of your child may be the last glimpse you get of your child. No matter how well you think you have chosen, sometimes adoptive parents abuse the children they adopted. Sometimes they even kill them.
Adoption is not the end all be all cure it sounds like. Not everyone has the strength to go through the process even if it does go smoothly, and if it doesn't, the process can drive someone mad.
To some people abortion is murder, but selective reduction is also murder and you do not hear people screaming about the practice of selective reduction. For those who are unfamiliar with selective reduction, its an abortion performed when too many eggs fertilize during fertility treatments and the mother is unable to carry all the children to term. So they abort one or more fetuses.
Making abortion illegal will not stop the "murder", it just means women will go to disreputable persons who are not held up to standards of training and stability, thus costing us both mother and child. More murders will not make things better. Those that are dissuaded from having any form of abortion will be raising children that they not only do not want, but are ill equipped to care for. Our system already has an overabundance of unwanted and uncared for children filling foster and group homes.
So my view is that the choice should be up to the woman carrying the child. I think the father should have a say if he can prove himself responsible enough and if carrying the baby to term will not endanger the woman's life or cause hardship in the lives of any children the woman already has. As for the rest of the world, its really none of their business. the government has no business in my, or any other woman's uterus thank you very much. I've never had an abortion, but I'll fight to make sure it is a woman's option to choose.
Pre-natal care is optional, back in the "old days" women did it all on their own and apparently, since we are here - it wasn't a horrible thing not to have.
People who feel adoption is the answer have never been pregnant - I don't think abortion should be illegal....or at least that there should NOT be any kind of Federal involvement. I think abortion is between the woman and her partner, and whatever higher power they choose to consult, if that is, they choose to. I don't know if i would ever have one personally, but i do think it's the womans' right to choose.
With that said, if it did become illegal, i don't think there should be any punishment for it other than revoking the doctors' license that performed it.
I think making abortion illegal creates more problems than it needs to. For instance, if a woman does not want to have a baby, she may endanger herself in the process by trying to perform the abortion herself, or by using other unsafe methods because safe methods are not provided. Politicians seem to forget (because they are mostly male and have never been in the position of an unplanned pregnancy wreaking havoc on their bodies) that if a woman (most women anyway) wants to do something, she will do it.
I do think though, that adoption can be good because so many people out there want healthy american babies, but some women do not even want to go through with the pregnancy process itself.
And also, even though i think abortion should be legal does not mean i think our tax dollars should fund them either. i think it should be a private matter...as private as the decision to get an abortion is. No, it should be allowed after medical consultation. Anyone want the government regulating their uterus?
Anyone want pregnancy forced on them and abortion on forced on them, like in Nicaragua and China? My mom was raped by stalking law enforcement in South Dakota and nearly died from a back alley butcher.
In Nicaragua, a lethal tubal fetus has more right to life than the expecting women. The women will die of sepsis unless she is able to find an illegal back alley doctor who will risk his or her own future.
If she dies are you going to adopt her orphans?
Do women and her born children have the right to life or do feti? Without the generous life giver what would be left on earth?
Do you want to be forced to adopt orphansss? In reality, 143 million orphan (orphanshope.org) children would love to be valued as much as Jesus, Mohammad, and newborns are valued. Please pray someone chooses to adopt ORPHAN children.
Yes, women need and are allowed the right to full quality reproductive care of her choice. Women ARE people also.
Do you want government surveillance cameras in your home watching you?
Turpentine's been around for a long time. I think you'd rather have a qualified professional for your 45 year old mother and 13-30 year old daughters.
Birth control pills and implants are not 100% effective, especially for the women will high metabolisms that won't allow their thyroids to shut down.
If you want a choice, one or the other, allow others a choice! Stop debating our private matters and start adopting ORPHAN children. Yes, all forms of murder should be illegal.
Those who get hurt having an illegal abortion should be treated and questioned about the person who would prey on a person in dire straights and risk their health both mental and physical.
Catholic hospitals always treat those who are injured. They do not PERFORM abortions, but would always treat those harmed by them.
Women who do not get prenatal care should be treated as any other mom just more carefully as they may be at higher risk.
Adoption is a positive outcome of a difficult situation. It can make much good come out of the situation. Later if the mother wants to relate to the child she may(or the father also).
Whereas if there is an abortion nobody gets a second chance and the mother must live with the regret all her life(the father also). |
