Do you hate that you can only be a Democrat or Republic and there is really no other choice?

How many of you would like to see someone in office that valued ALL life? Poor and rich...Gay and straight...foreign and american...guilty and innocent...and of course the earth (also living)! Would you support someone who didn't want to kill people without looking at EVERY other possible option first? A president that wouldn't be so willing to go to war for reasons that aren't even clearly defined - and a president who didn't want women to "choose" to kill an unborn child when we can't even decide whether it's murder or not (there are so many other options....more sex ed, adoption, etc)...a president who wasn't so quick to call judgement and play God with a convict - (and if our current president's truly a Christian....what happened to forgiveness and we are ALL equally sinners...even him)...a president who understands that immigrants (even illegal ones) are also people who deserve respect and value....a president who doesn't treat homosexuals like they aren't people anymore...

And a president who respected poor and rich people - and one who understood the problem with spending billions of dollars making weapons to kill people when that money could be better spent feeding people...a president that understood the severity of our earth problems and was willing to make a real difference! We can see that America is ready for it right now with this go green thing - why wont the president and congress get on board? I just wish that I didn't have to be classified as a certain party - I wish someone would just base their decisions off of the value of all life - with no prejudices - but still wasn't afraid to bring values and morals into office...(just not the "values" that Rep generally call values...I want real values...)

You hit the nail on the head. But, there is always a choice. It starts with the individual. Live the example. Some will follow, perhaps maybe enough will to set things right.

Really person, redifine right and wrong before you go off the top of your head. gays? abortion? WRONG

The misconception, that we can only vote Dem or Rep, is the very reason that we cannot elect anyone, but a Dem or Rep. People should vote for the candidate that they believe will do the best job. Not the candidate that they think will win; or the candidate with a D or R in front of their name.

But that won't happen anytime soon. Unless one of the parties screw over one of their main candidates and that candidate decides to run as an independent.

Anyway, it's the people's fault that we don't have anyone, other than Dems and Reps, being elected.

There are more than just those two choices. Democrats and Republican just dominate the News. There is the Communist party, Independent party, Green party, and a few others. If you go back in History there were other parties as well, that dominated the news. As time goes on new groups will take over the current one.

Democrats and Republicans are only the two major parties. There are many others, including Independent, Libertarian, Constitution, and Green. Many people choose a party based on what they believe is "right" or "wrong" and how strongly they believe it. I'd highly suggest you register as an Independent if you think leaders aren't listening to your concerns, because candidates in the major parties want your vote that badly.
