Where can I find information on the spendings of the federal budget?

I'm looking for how much money is spent on children who are wards of the court, specifically those who were put up for adoption or removed from their homes and put into foster care services.

good luck with this one..I would venture to say that the government would not openly disclose this information. I would guess that you would have to do ALOT of research and contact a legislator. I personally know that families that adopt children that are wards of the state are given alot of help including financial compensation I also know that the expense involved is absorbed by the taxpayers and it is astronomical!!! There should be ways to make this expenditure less ( I certainly can think of a few) I am currently on a quest with the government system to see about getting some changes made. I am only one small voice but will continue this quest until my dying day

I think that would be an almost impossible task. There are some many different departments put that together with state, county, and federal.
