I would like to ask abouth admiralty law regarding heart attact during work.if if i will be conpensated.?

i've been working on a ship as a 3rd engineer and while working on the diving bell bilge (diving bell bilged is 10 ft below ) then sudenly i feel crushing pain on my left breast. ifinish ny job and tell them to call the medic to asses me . they assess that heart attact so they bring me to hospital. while in hospital they do a tripple heart by pass operation. i would like to ask if i can get conpensation to what happen .

First you need to find out if the company that owns the ship that you worked on has workers comp insurance and then you will have to prove that you did not have a pre-existing condition that made you have your heart attack, ie. a birth defect, high blood pressure, and the likes. Also, do you have medical insurance that will cover your surgery and doctors? There are a lot of factors that are involved in this answer. It may be best to contact the labor board or workers comp insurance company in your state for the answers you are wanting.
